Madrid Trip - 2025

West Hill students test their Spanish language skills during a trip to Madrid
In May 2025, a group of our students had the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Madrid. They immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the city by visiting several renowned landmarks and attractions. Our boys delved into the world of art at the Museo del Prado and the Reina Sofia Art Museum, where they were able to appreciate famous masterpieces and contemporary artworks. They also had the chance to explore the opulent Royal Palace of Madrid by night, taking in the grandeur of the historical monument.
In addition to their art and history excursions, the group made a stop at the Museum of Illusions, adding a touch of fun and wonder to their itinerary. They also savoured the flavours of Madrid at the bustling San Miguel food market, and soaked in the lively atmosphere of the Plaza Mayor. The football enthusiasts amongst them, couldn't miss the opportunity to visit the home of Real Madrid Football Club.
Although they were unable to play at the Bernabeu Stadium, they made the most of their time in Madrid by having a kick-about in El Retiro Park. Overall, the trip provided a valuable educational and cultural experience for the group, enabling them to put their Spanish language skills to the test and leaving them with lasting memories of their time in Madrid.
