Supporting Men's Mental Health Awareness

Raising awareness of men's mental health.

During the week commencing 5th October 2026, and as part of World Mental Health Day, held on 10th October each year, students and staff showed their support by holding assemblies all week to help raise awareness of men's mental health with our students, culminating with a fundraising non-uniform day.

The week consisted of:

  • Emotive and powerful assemblies all week – all of which were researched, written and presented by the students in our Mental Health and Wellbeing Office.
  • A fundraising non-uniform day – where staff and students came together to wear something blue in honour of men's mental health charity Back and Forth.
  • A fundraising cake sale.

The week was very successful in helping to spread the word about men's mental health. Students in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Office did an amazing job with their assemblies, and every penny of the approximately £700 raised was donated to Back and Forth men's mental health charity.
