Our sensational annual Spring Concert took place at the end of April. Once again, our magnificent musicians' talents were on display to a crowded St Paul's Church in Stalybridge. Performing during the evening were our Jazz Orchestra and the Jazz Collective , our Brass Quintet and Harry's Jazz Octet, as well as guitar groups, soloists and the ever-popular handbells A huge well done to all of our boys for the time and dedication spent honing their musical skills as well as, for many, aiming high and pushing themselves out of their comfort zones with their performances to build confidence and resilience for the future

Headteacher's Recognition Reward - Some of our students were in for a Tuesday treat today! Boys who finished last week with the highest number of achievement points in their respective year groups were invited to join Ms Cronin for what is usually our Monday celebration slot. Huge congratulations were given to all boys, as there were some very high totals last week! With challenges set for records to be broken and motivational speeches given... it's now up to our boys to go all out over the coming weeks to earn those points. Very well done, boys! Keep up your fantastic efforts!

Co-curricular activities come in all shapes and sizes! From relaxing watching their favourite anime , to playing sports , to art club , to Lego club ... and this was just a selection from one Friday lunchtime! Every day sees a variety of clubs on offer - both at lunchtime and also after school. We think there's something for everyone, but if there isn't - why not suggest it? What will you try next week?

Year 9 Tameside Cup Winners Last week saw the culmination of some hard-fought and well-played games on the run-up to the Tameside Cup final . Playing against Droylsden Academy in the final, and offering good results throughout all their games, our boys won 5-1 to lift the trophy . A fantastic achievement! Well done to our Year 9 football team, and to all other schools that took part

A hugely deserved "well done" to our Year 10s! Over two days of excitment mixed with nerves, yesterday saw the Prefect interviews take place for our boys that had applied for the role, and today saw our Head Boy presentations take place. Interviews took place in front of staff panels, and the presentations took place in the main hall in front of the majority of our staff! These boys have pushed themselves out of their comfort zones, bypassed their nerves, showed their resilience and have already proven themselves to be ready, respectful and responsible. Good luck to you all - you've done yourselves, your peers, and West Hill School so proud!
