On Wednesday, 15th April 2026, a group of Year 9 students took part in a MEGA event.

Joining with students from other local schools, students became AI entrepreneurs for the day. Choosing a real-world problem they care about, they built an AI-powered solution from scratch. Using industry professional AI tools, they created a design solution, built a prototype, created a brand and pitched their product to a live judging panel.

Delivered by IN4 Group, as part of the Greater Manchester Baccalaureate (MBacc), funded by GMCA and Tameside Local Authority and hosted by Ashton Sixth Form College. MEGA (Motivated, Educated Generation with Ambition) is a bespoke, industry-informed super curriculum enrichment programme for schools. Helping young people build digital skills, explore routes into technology careers and prepare for digital futures.
