⭐Another donation to our school library!⭐ ❤️A lovely set of 3 books donated to our school library by one of our Year 7 boys. Thank you❤️ The Breakfast Club Adventures is a massively successful, bestselling book series. It has consistently topped children's book charts and has become a staple in UK school libraries. Headteacher's Recognition Reward (HRR)🎉 Some fabulous achievement point totals from our students this week as the six-weekly Head of Year Praise Awards were allocated during the last week of half-term. First day back today and our boys have been describing their enjoyment of fish project work in art 🐠, school centenary merchandise production in technology 💯, maths ➕, chemistry 🧪 and food technology 🍝. Mrs Anderton and Mr Wilkinson also received a shout out this week for their history lessons 🏰 Some of our older boys are working on getting themselves prepared and are now gaining momentum for the months that lie ahead of them during their final GCSE year. It's been great to see our students back in school again. Well done to all of our boys from today's HRR. A fresh start for all means that all students have the same opportunity of receiving it each and every week! 💙💛

📣 This morning, we received the fabulous news that when our Year 10 Computer Science classes entered a coding competition on the final week of half-term, 10B (Mr Wilson's class) came 3rd! 🥉 🏆 As you can see from the stats above, this was against thousands of other classes and schools from all over the world 👏 so this is absolutely amazing and we're immensely proud! 🙌 The school have won a prize which will be selected this week. Headteacher's Recognition Reward 🎉 It's Monday, so once again the top achievers from the previous week have gathered together for congratulations from Ms Cronin. Chocolate cake, brownies and pumpkins were on offer today! 🎃 (as well as a lunch queue-jump). Boys were discussing half term plans, including a camping expedition with Scouts. A timely reminder that boys that are a part of any voluntary uniformed organisation can attend school in their associated uniform on Remembrance Day - Wednesday 11th November, as we pay our respects 🌺 One of our students was a little late arriving to Ms Cronin's office today. The reason? Because he wanted to finish the paragraph that he was in the middle of writing in his English lesson 👏. Fantastic dedication to his work! 🤩 With some very impressive achievement point totals from last week, a huge WELL DONE goes to all of our students today 💙💛

💻 A selection of students took part in a Be Internet Citizens interactive presentation and workshop in school today - ran by @parentzoneuk. The event, designed to help our boys navigate their online environments safely, was also witnessed by local MP, Jonathan Reynolds, who joined us today to speak with students during the activities as well as reinforcing the importance of today's message. 🕵️♀️ Students were taught to 'hit pause' before they watch online content, were shown how to identify misinformation and disinformation, and how to assess the reliability of online content. A huge THANK YOU to ParentZone for spreading such an important message to our boys in a fun and interesting way, and also to Jonathan Reynolds for taking the time to join us and talk to our students 💙💛.

🎃👻 DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY HALLOWEEN CLUB! 👻🎃 🦇 What a fantastic first two days of our Design & Technology Halloween Club! Our students have been busy designing and making some brilliant Halloween decorations, putting their amazing creativity and practical skills into action! ✂️🎨 👏 Look at their fantastic creations so far! A massive well done to everyone who has taken part.
