Bronze DofE Training

Year 9 prepare for their first Duke of Edinburgh expedition

On Saturday 16th May, 40 Year 9 boys successfully completed their training for their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze expedition.

The boys learned about navigation, first aid, the countryside code, and camp craft delivered by our excellent DofE volunteers. After completing their training, the boys put it to the test by navigating an unfamiliar route to Hartshead Pike independently, which they all managed successfully.

This now prepares them for their qualifying expedition on the 4th and 5th July, where they will be entirely self-sufficient, working in teams towards their team goal! We look forward to sharing more about their expedition in July!
